Opportunity page gives error, after we delete “In Progress” option from Status Reason field -in Dynamics 365

In Dynamics 365 version 9.0, if you are working on Opportunity entity and delete one of the option, from the Status Reason – you will receive an error.

I deleted the option ” In Progress”, from the “Status Reason” field in “Opportunity” entity in Dynamics 365 Sales app. After deletion, I got the error and had to open a ticket with Microsoft.

Microsoft confirmed, that this is a product related bug in version 9.0 and will be rectified after 24 hours. The IIS gets reset after every 24 hours, therefore the stale metadatacache  gets clear.

Microsoft was right, after 24 hours I was able to open the Opportunity page and dashboard.
